This is my watercolor painting of a beta fish. My favorite thing about it is the colors I used in the fins of the fish because they make the fish stand out the fish has an analogous color scheme because I used blue and purple. I was able to give the sand a rough texture by adding small dots to it. Finally I added the plants into the back so that there is unity in the painting and it makes it look like it is in a tank. One thing I would do to change the painting is to make the leaves look more realistic on the ground.
